THE ELEMENTS son un quinteto Rap / Hip Hop  de Dublín, Irlanda. Un grupo líricamente dotado, que son influenciados principalmente por el Jazz, Soul, Funk y R & B, de la que utilizan muestras oscuras combinadas con composiciones originales para hacer música con conciencia social. Todos los miembros cuentan con diferentes estilos para llevar Hip Hop irlandés,  los cuales han tenido un impacto enorme en la escena ahora floreciente en Irlanda.

THE ELEMENTS formados originalmente en 2002 en torno a un grupo de amigos en la zona de Blanchardstown Dublín. Ellos consisten ahora en MCs y productores Richie Lewis (Sr. alta velocidad), Sheriff Ibrahim (Gemsmiff), Adam Swords (Swords/D1) Keith Connell (ThaBoy) y Neill Whelan (NdLZ).

THE ELEMENTS se presentaron primera en la escena Hip Hop irlandés con una canción llamada "I Guess We Came Strong", que tuvo una buena acogida entre los fans de la banda a nivel local y otros por igual. Una pista que demuestra el talento de producción de Gemsmiff, también aparece la palabra juego intrincado de todos los jóvenes miembros de la banda, particularmente Neveah, que era uno de sólo un puñado de "Fem-cees" en la floreciente escena. DJ Mo-K fue también uno de los favoritos entre los fans de Hip Hop mientras jugaba un Hip Hop habitual programa de radio sobre "Vibe FM".



La popularidad del grupo era muy alto después de varias pistas fueron puestos en libertad a los miembros del sitio web influyente IrishHipHop.com , Los elementos jugaron una serie de programas para llevar a cabo como teloneros y cabezas de cartel por igual, incluso vendiendo Draíocht Blanchardstown Theatre de Dublín. 2006 fue un año de altos y bajos. Los elementos tenían un par de cambios hasta la línea, DJ Mo-K dejó el grupo para unirse a sus fuerzas con Rob Kelly y fue reemplazado por NdLZ. Neveah había dejado el grupo para perseguir otros intereses, pero no antes de que el grupo tocó en un show increíble en Oxegen en el escenario junto a RedBull gran talento irlandés Hip Hop como Rob Kelly, Correkt Minds (Hijos Phonetik) e Inteligencia Urbana.


Después de ese año THE ELEMENTS realmente encontró su voz con el lanzamiento del video "El Método", que realmente demostró su estilo de cyphers retorcidos y letras con conciencia social, mientras que la apertura a nuevas técnicas de producción utilizando todos los instrumentos en vivo en lugar de muestras con un punto de vista sobre Iron Butterfly In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.




En 2009, después de un largo verano de conciertos en The Sugar Club, The Village y en el Festival SOLAS para nombrar unos pocos, THE ELEMENTS tomó un descanso de dar conciertos y escribiendo juntos por razones familiares. Pero todos los miembros siendo amigos cercanos, ya que perfeccionaron sus técnicas de producción mientras se trabaja en proyectos en solitario.


THE ELEMENTS han publicado una recopilación de lo mejor de su trabajo en el periodo de 2006 a 2008 - "Los Archivos Perdidos '- y estamos trabajando algunos proyectos nuevos que se lanzarán en los próximos meses y ensayando para los próximos shows en 2013

 The Elements are a five-piece Rap/Hip Hop group from Dublin, Ireland. A lyrically gifted group, they are influenced mostly by Jazz, Soul, Funk and R&B, from which they utilise obscure samples combined with original compositions to make socially conscious music. All members bring different styles to Irish Hip Hop, all of which have made a huge impact on the now thriving scene in Ireland.

The Elements formed originally in 2002 around a group of friends in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin. They now consist of MCs & Producers Richie Lewis (Mr. Highspeed), Sheriff Ibrahim (Gemsmiff), Adam Swords (Swords/D1) Keith Connell (ThaBoy)  & Neill Whelan (NdLZ).

The Elements first came to the attention of the Irish Hip Hop scene with a track called "I Guess We Came Strong" which was well received among fans of the band locally and others alike. A track which demonstrated the production talents of Gemsmiff, it also displayed the intricate word play of all the band’s young members, particularly Neveah, who was one of only a handful of "Fem-cees" in the burgeoning scene. DJ Mo-K was also a favorite among Hip Hop fans as he played a regular Hip Hop radio show on "Vibe FM".

Popularity of the group was running high after several tracks were released to members of the influential website IrishHipHop.com, The Elements played a number of packed out shows as support slots and headliners alike, including selling out Blanchardstown’s Draíocht Theatre in Dublin. This is where they first played alongside NdLZ & Finesse, another Hip Hop group from the South side of Dublin, with whom The Elements had previously collaborated on tracks produced by NdLZ.

2006 was a year of highs and lows. The Elements had a couple of line up changes, DJ Mo-K left the group to join forces with Rob Kelly and was replaced by NdLZ.  Neveah had left the group to pursue other interests, but not before the group played an amazing show at Oxegen in the RedBull Stage alongside great Irish Hip Hop talent including Rob Kelly, Correkt Minds (Sons Phonetik) and Urban Intelligence.

After that year The Elements really found their voice with the release of the video "The Method" which really demonstrated their style of twisted cyphers and socially conscious lyrics, while opening up to new production techniques using all live instruments instead of samples with a take on Iron Butterfly’s In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.

In 2009 after a long Summer of gigs in The Sugar Club, The Village and at SOLAS Festival to name a few, The Elements took a break from gigging & writing together for family reasons. But all members stayed close friends as they honed their production skills while working on solo projects.

The Elements are now back and currently putting the finishing touches to a compilation of the best of their work in the period of 2006 to 2008 – ‘The Lost Archives’ - and are rehearsing for upcoming shows in 2012.
